Datapulse Click-2-Dial is a unique, powerful tool for Nortel IP Phone and Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) users, which enables users to click on any telephone number in any PC application, document or webpage to initiate a call from their IP phone or OCS client - making Click-2-Dial a true Unified Communications solution.
Most other dialing programs only work with certain desktop applications or ring the user's phone along with the dialed number. With Click-2-Dial, the user simply hovers over a telephone number and clicks the dial button and the number is automatically dialed from their IP phone or OCS client. This includes web pages, email programs, CRM applications and any other PC based business software. The calls are made through the organisation's telephony system so the call is placed using the best corporate rate, with calls being fully logged, costed and managed via applications such as Datapulse Call Management and Call Recording.
Since Click-2-Dial is also compatible with Nortel softphones, all users, whether office based or mobile, can benefit from the time saving process of easy, automated dialing. Whether working from home, hotel or satellite office users are utilising the centralised telephony resource to make outgoing calls, rather than expensive mobile or hotel phones.
